Gabrielle Carr, Esq. Owner/Mediator
Gabrielle graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Marketing from California State University, Sacramento in 1990. After receiving her undergraduate degree, She studied for her Juris Doctor Degree from Whittier School of Law in Southern California. Gabrielle passed the Nevada State Bar in 1993, prior to finishing law school in December, 1994 and was on the Dean’s Honor List in both her undergraduate and graduate programs. Gabrielle is licensed to practice law in both Nevada and Colorado and has served with the Nevada Attorney General as a Deputy District Attorney, the City of Reno as an Assistant City Attorney as well as Chief Civil Deputy District Attorney for Humboldt County, Nevada. She has more than 20 years of civil litigation experience with emphasis in family law, divorce, child custody, guardianship and estate planning matters. Gabrielle is licensed by the State Bar of Nevada, 1994, U.S. District Court, District of Nevada, 1996, U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, 1996. She has also served as President and Board Member of the Board of Directors of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern Nevada (2006-2011). Gabrielle acted as President of the Northern Nevada Women Lawyer’s Association in 2001 and as a member from 1998-2009. She also serves on the Children's Justice Act Task Force as Chair to assist in guiding federal funding in child abuse and neglect cases. Gabrielle also serves as a mediator for the State of Nevada Juvenile Dependency Mediation Program beginning July 1, 2021. As Court Master for the Sixth Judicial District Court from 2017 to 2021, Gabrielle presided over juvenile delinquency cases, child abuse and neglect cases. temporary restraining orders involving children, adult and minor guardianships as well as conducted informal mediations or settlement conferences in divorce, family related, custody, personal injury, and civil cases. Gabrielle is certified in collaborative divorce mediation, child dependency mediation and general civil mediation practice.
